starwars-1024x480

#7 Covergirl x Starwars

CoverGirl released a Star Wars-themed makeup collection, just ahead of the premiere of The Force Awakens. Designed by legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath, the limited edition makeup line is comprised of three nail polishes, six lipsticks and 10 mascaras–all of which sport names that double as lines from the iconic series.

It’s all about joining the light or dark side.

DHC-1024x480

#8 DHC x Cinderella

Following a series of themed collaborations from South Korea’s beauty brands, this is one of the first few character-themed collections we’ve seen from Japan. Produced by Japan’s skincare powerhouse DHC, the Cinderella themed make-up collection includes 4 items: Cleansing Oil, Lip/cheek pot, Eye shadow & Mascara.

the-face-shop

#9 The Face Shop x Kakao Friends 1

The Face Shop was the first Korean makeup brand that made collaboration with these characters of this most popular messaging app. When I first saw that The Face Shop was going to have collaboration with Kakao Friends, I immediately went onto every single Korean beauty blog I could find in hopes of revealing more information about this awesome collaboration. The characters from KakaoTalk are ones of my favorite characters.

KAKAO-1024x480

#10 VDL x Kakao Friends 2

This is not the first time VDL has worked with Kakao Friends – characters from one of South Korea’s most popular messaging app. Earlier this year, was  the first collaboration featuring APeach blusher, eye shadow and lipsticks which were quickly sold out soon after it’s launched.

sephora-1024x347

#11 Disney Princess x Sephora

Okay this is not exactly a makeup product, but it’s a compact mirror from our favorite American makeup storeSephora. First launched with 6 different Disney Princesses: Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Snow White & Frozen (Else & Anna).

etude-house

#12 Etude House x Berry Delicious

Etude House is a brand that always has super cute packaging. However, their recent feature of strawberries in their new spring collection products is cuter than ever.

 moomin-1

#13 CODE x Moomin

Other than watching cartoons, as Asian culture lovers, we used to love reading comic books on rainy days. Although most of our comic books included just Garfield and Pif and Hercule, one of the loved Asian comic characters is Moomin.

And so CODE x Moomin collaboration has his place on this list of themed makeup collaborations.
